I found this piece of pine rotting in the woods, but the hollow interior of the trunk made for a perfect mask shape. The grain of the wood is striking, with many dark lines left by the tree's sap (note the orange tint to the wood in the picture above. This was very challenging to carve because of the gunky, gooey layers of sap that I had to carve through. Dressed with dried corn husks.
