Rock fish: sycamore root and stone on sycamore root base: March, 2018

This fish is made from a sycamore root that I found along the Tioughnioga river in NY.  I cut the root in two and made a pair of different carvings from it; the fish pictured here, and the four-tentacled sea creature in one of my past posts on this blog titled "Beneath the Surface."
